Heading to the Cycle Show? Here’s a few tidbits to help whet the appetite….
First off, straight in front of the doors is the Shimano stand, with a few examples of their latest kit on show, including both the new Dura Ace, but also the urban groupset Metrea – and that’s quite a looker in real life!
Head round the corner and drop in on Torq they’ve got their limited edition beer flavoured gel to sample…..
Like bike-packing? you’re going to love Laura Scott’s Kinesis on display at their stand, and around the corner there’s a fully loaded Orange bike-packing steed, complete with a full complement of Restrap bags #sweet

In the mood for some daring-do? Check out the e-bike MTB track, 400 tonnes of soil brought in to show how awesome the bosche electronic motor is for MTBs – and it’s much fun! Just don’t overcook it on the corners as the 5-speed motor can surprise you in ‘turbo’ mode!
And if you’ve crashed and thwacked your head, then maybe have a chat with the guys over at Headkayse – they’ve got an interesting Kickstarter success story, a rather unique, reusable, folding helmet for the urban rider – using a proprietary material that can withstand more than one impact, and still fold down to fit into your bag! Entirely made in England as well no less!
Then to finish the show perhaps a trip to Canyon to check out their Olympic bike and the flippin lovely new Endurace CF SLX 9.0 – pretty much the only bike you’d ever need for road riding!
Hungry? Then that’ll be time for some sugary treats from Lucho Dillitos and their straight from Colombia bocadillo energy snack. Wrapped in palm leaves and handmade in Colombia they are a new addition to the UK scene but apparently a firm favourite in South America.
As you leave the show, watch out for the POC stand, so much loveliness there to empty your wallet…..
Enjoy the show!
