Review: Velobici stocking fillers
It’s not too late to get some Christmas stockings filled, and with plenty more months of cold weather ahead it seems those lovely folks at Velobici have got something for everyone’s stockings!
Extensively ride-tested during the winter so far, here’s 4 perfect gifts for the discerning cyclist!
All their items are proudly made in England, and if you find yourself in Leicester or the surrounds pop into their shop – it’s lovingly curated and has some very cool treats inside!
PBP Seamless Hat
100% merino wool, this hat is both lightweight (thin enough to fit under your helmet comfortably) and also insulating, keeping in plenty of head-heat on these chilly mornings!
Seamless Arm WarmersAgain in superfine merino wool, these are a lovely set of arm-warmers that have become my new favourites for a couple of reason…..1)they have a little bit of extra room in the biceps area, I’m not mr muscular but I find the extra room gives much more comfort, and coupled with the lack of seams they are super comfy. They also go a little bit further down the arm to the hand, and have thumb holes in them, keeping me draft-free (the way it should be!)
Camden Collar Check Ride Cap
If a beanie isn’t your thing and the weather isn’t looking too grand out there, then the Camden Collar cap may be right up your street! A cycling cap is always a good present, and with a collar to cover your neck and ears from the elements this is a beauty! Water-resistant to keep you happy and with a great peak, this cap has become a favourite, and would grace a happy head right through winter and spring!
Warm Collar
As is the fashion these days, this collar is made from superfine merino wool, but don’t let that fool you this is a heavyweight classic! Thick enough to keep your neck and face warm on even the coldest of rides, and because of its wooly make-up it’s going to keep stinky-breath smells at bay! It’s not wind-proof, but it is, well it’s not really, but it is 😉
