One of those words that gets overused quite frequently these days is EPIC (as in EPIC burger down at McD’s or EPIC night out etc etc) but sometimes the word is used correctly.

This is one of those times. Mike Cotty (@cottydale on Twitter) cycled from Évian-les-Bains to Nice in the Alps – on a ride supported by Mavic – who produced this rather lovely film.

667 Km in a single ride, complete with over 16,000 metres of climbing – that’s truly an epic ride!

As Mike says ‘it’s not about it being easy’ and to me that’s the whole point of rides like this – to challenge our own beliefs and others around us – taking back the word epic 1 crazy ride at a time!
