I’ve ridden around London at night before, it’s always a great experience to speed through the quiet streets, but this time I had 3 hours to spend getting from Lambeth North to St Pancras.
What better way to travel at 3.30am than to take my two feet across town.
Westminster bridge, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, St Martin’s Lane, Soho, Russell Square.
The whole route is packed with landmarks and iconic sights, with the added bonus of a newight to see them, a d without the throngs that normally line the route.
Seeing the light rising at 4.20 brings a smile as the city wakes and the few other people out change from revellers to early workers.
Next time I’ll be sure to bring the big camera, and probably not a massive bag!
